The Timeshifters

  • A Live Action Comedy / Drama / Mystery series for teens

Six ordinary teenagers are brought together for the adventure of a lifetime. For the next 3 months they will live and study together in a science camp at a remote research facility on the edge of the Daintree Rainforest, one of the most spectacular places on Earth.

Away from their parents and the structures of formal schooling, this is their chance to immerse themselves in a world of ancient forests, wild rivers, mysterious waterholes, and the timeless Rock Art and Dreamtime culture of the local Aboriginal people, the traditional owners of this Land.

But they quickly discover that something’s not right here when one of them disappears, not lost in the rainforest, but somehow trapped in another moment in time. And now they must find a way to move through time to find him or risk him being lost forever.

But that’s not where this story starts.

Something has disturbed the natural order of things and now even time itself seems out of sync, ebbing and flowing between the future and the past. Ten years ago, a powerful Black Opal talisman was stolen from a secret cave hidden deep in the Rainforest, shifting the delicate power balance within the spirit world. Now, with the Rainforest itself under threat of exploration and deforestation, strange things are happening. In that same secret cave, the Rock Art pictures of ancient spirits are moving, taking form and entering our world. And not all of them are friendly.

It’s up to the kids to restore balance to the world. But first they must embrace their destiny as Timeshifters, connect with the Land, uncover the dark secret of the research facility, and then find a way to travel back in time to make sure the Black Opal is never disturbed. Only then can they hope to reset the past in order to save the future.

Welcome to the world of the Timeshifters.
